Is your landscape business licensed?

“Is your landscape business licensed?”

Yes, we are a licensed NC Landscape Contractor (Lic#1699), although being licensed is not required here in North Carolina. We also have a NC Pesticide Applicator License and we are Energy Saving Landscape Certified. We have worked hard to get licensed in these areas.

However, due to exceptions in the law, almost anyone can start up their own “landscaping” business.

Everyone from backhoe operators, excavating services, tree trimmers, turf installers, down to the teenager with a neighborhood “lawn mowing” service can legally landscape your property.

But can you really afford the risk of using unlicensed, or uninsured landscapers?

While a non-licensed landscaping service might seem like a good bet to “save” you money, some of these service providers just don’t have the expertise, experience or training it takes to do quality landscape construction or design work — safely.

With the constant threat of mudslides (and soil erosion) from the steep mountain slopes here in Western North Carolina, you might want to consider hiring a licensed landscape contractor who has an experienced design team for your home or business project.
